Does the Library charge fines?

Yes, the Shaw University Libraries currently have systems in place to collect fines for Overdue, Lost, or Damaged items that are borrowed from our services.
These policies include:
- Overdue Books accruing fines at a rate of $0.25/day/item.
- Overdue Course Reserves items (hourly) accrue at a rate of $0.25/hour/item
- Lost Books (overdue for 4+ weeks) charged a $100 replacement fee, plus processing fee.
- Course Reserves (Hourly Checkout) are deemed lost at 3+ days overdue
- Other items' overdue and replacement fines may vary depending on item type
